Polymeric Imaging is proud to announce the release of Plasti-Lam, a two-part laminating adhesive designed for screen printing applications. It provides a sturdy bond between two dissimilar substrates or films with high peel and bonding strength once applied to PVC, Polycarbonate, APET and styrene, it is also very effective in bonding film to printed core stock.

The Plasti-Lam system has been specifically formulated to meet the credit card industry laminating requirements often associated with plastic card screen printed constructions, which

optimizes smooth bonding and high peel strength of the film to printed core stock, film to film as well as the various plastics mentioned prior.

The foundation of Plasti-Lam is based on the premise of using low VOC based materials along with high solid resins which enable the Plasti-Lam to achieve extremely high peel strengths

on a wide variety of materials.

Plasti-Lam adhesive, once mixed (A&B), is screened (110 mesh), with a wet film deposit of no less than 1 mil. Once applied onto the substrate, then another film or substrate is applied, in register, while wet, then nipped and stacked. Plasti-Lam needs 18 to 24 hours to cross-link (while in stacks), and then is ready to process. Once cured, the bond strength is indestructible.

Plasti-Lam was formulated for use on high end packaging, specialty and collector cards
